 
Death on Demand was
originally started in October 2009 by Lee, Phil
& Locker.
Locker left shortly after to follow
another path but returned in 2011 to take up his
original spot on the drum kit.
Stu
was a very good friend who had left his band in
early 2010 and was offered the role of Bass
player and suggested his friend Kurtis do the
vocals.
Kurtis
was an excellent talent but family problems
prevented him from turning up to practice and
effected the time that the band could spend in
the studio, after a short time Kurtis was asked
to leave the band.
Lee
then spoke with his old vocalist from Blood
Retch & Temple Mortuary, Graham Cleary who
jumped into doing vocals during the summer of
2010, however after recording the very first
version of Face of Hate Graham’s life changed
direction and he could not commit to the band.
We have included this version of the track as a
thank you to Graham and to also show the very
different styles between him & Stu.
After
Graham’s departure Stu decided that he was
going to take over the vocalist duties and it
was the right decision, him and Lee sat down and
worked on the lyrics for a few days until the
band were happy with the final versions.
Within
just a few weeks the band was back in the Studio
with good friend and studio Engineer Andy Harper
to get the first EP done regardless.
What
we have now is the Tree of Woe EP in all its
glory; it’s been a long road with many twists
and turns along the way.
The
name Death on Demand is born from the idea that
in our digital age almost everything is
available on the internet with exceptions to
Death, however with the breakdown of sociable
acceptability we believe it’s only a matter of
time before the art of death in any form will be
at the click of a button.
Films
like Gamer, Condemned, Battle Royale &
Deathrace portray this and act as an influence
for the bands material.
Since
recording and making preparations for the EP
release D.o.D have secured a Guitar String
Endorsement with Dovetail Strings UK, have
signed a record deal with Satanica Productions
NZ, have entered the Digital Download World via
CD Baby & over 20 different Digital Download
Sites which include iTunes, Amazon MP3, Spotify,
LastFM & many more.
Tree
of Woe is due for release on the 31st
march 2011.
DEATH ON DEMAND se inicia en Octubre del 2009
con Lee, Phil & Locker. Éste último se
ausenta poco después para seguir otro rumbo
pero se reincorpora en el 2011 para tomar su
lugar inicial en la batería.
Stu era un muy
buen amigo que había dejado su banda en el 2010
y le es ofrecido el rol de bajista y sugiere a
su amigo Kurtis para hacer las voces.
Kurtis tenía
un excelente talento pero algunos problemas
familiares lo alejaron de los ensayos y
afectaron el tiempo que la banda podía invertir
en el estudio, de modo que le piden que abandone
la banda.
Lee habla
entonces con su viejo vocalista de la banda
Blood Retch & Temple Mortuary, Graham Cleary
quien acepta tomar las vocales durante el verano
del 2010, sin embargo luego de la grabación de
la primera versión del tema "Face Of
Hate", Graham tiene un cambio de planes en
su vida y no puede seguir en la banda. La banda
ha incluido la versión de este tema como
un agradecimiento a Graham y también para
mostrar los diferentes estilos de cantar entre
él y Stu.
Luego de la
salida de Graham, Stu decide tomar las voces, él
junto a Lee se sientan a trabajar en las liricas
por algunos días hasta que la banda estuviera
contenta con el resultado final.
Dentro de unas
pocas semanas la banda retorna al estudio con su
buen amigo e ingeniero de estudio Andy Harper
para grabar su primer EP.
Lo que tienen
ahora es el EP "Tree Of Woe" en toda
su gloria, ha sido un camino largo con muchas
torsiones y vueltas en el camino.
El Nombre Death
On Demand nació de la idea que en nuestra
actual era digital, todo es disponible através
de Internet, con excepción de la muerte, sin
embargo con el fenómeno de aceptación social,
creemos que solo es cuestión de tiempo antes de
que el arte de la muerte en cualquier forma esté
disponible con solo el click de un botón.
Filmes como
Gamer, Condemned, Battle Royale & Deathrace
han servido como una fuerte infuencia para la
banda.
Desde la
grabación y preparativos del lanzamiento del
EP, la banda se ha asegurado un endorsement con
la compañía de cuerdas de guitarra Dovetail
Strings en UK, han firmado un contrato con
Satanica Productions de Nueva Zelanda, han
entrado al sistema de descarga digital a nivel
mundial via: CD Baby & otrosas 20 diferentes
sitios de descarga que incluyen iTunes, Amazon
MP3, Spotify, LastFM y muchos más.
"Tree Of
Woe" es finalmente lanzado el 31 de Marzo
del 2011.
