Mentally Defiled is a Greek thrash metal band formed in 2001. The band was founded by Alex(guitars), George "IronBeast"(vocals) and George Efstathiou. (guitars). Originally started as a cover band but later on created their own music influenced mostly by old-school metal bands.
The lineup, for early recordings and live shows, was with Geo. Politis (bass) and Tassos Deliyannis (drums) up until 2008. Tassos then announced that he would quit the band, later that year. The rest of the band was hurried into the song-writing process and entered the Musichouse studios in 2008 to record their debut album "The Thrash Brigade".
The album"The Thrash Bridage" was released by Russian, Thrash Massacre records in 2009 and receiving good reviews. Unfortunately the band ,without a drummer at the time, was unable to promote the album as it deserved, playing only one show followed by the leave of Ironbeast and Alex who at the time had to do their army service as well.
Mentally Defiled got back in business with the teaming up of Vasilis "Billias" Tsafas(drums) in late 2008 and doing some live shows promoting "The Thrash Brigade" including a gig with Exumer(GER).
The Thrash Brigade was recently re-released by EBM records, and is to be pressed as a vinyl by Athens Thrash Attack records. The band is currently in the making of a three way split cd with Nadimac (SER) and Adrenicide (UK) preparing to record the second full lenght album in summer 2011.
