 
The band was formed by bassist Egor Lomonos and guitarist/vocalist Oleg Kolotusha in winter 2005. After awhile a guitarist Dmitry Marchenko and drummer Jaroslav Docenko joined the band. In such composition the band takes part in different festivals and club concerts. In 2007 a drummer Vladimir Shapkun substitutes Jaroslav Docenko and presently he is the band’s drummer. In two months Dmitry Marchenko left the band and MORiA members decided to play as trio. Autumn 2008 MORiA participated in “Death Damage Fest” with Deadlock (Germany). In such composition the band takes part in ProRock festival in 2008 with such bands as Rage, Rasta, Devillish Impressions and other bands from Ukraine and other SNG countries.
During this period of time the debut album “PSY” was recorded and the first video clip with participation of Lilith from the Zaporozhye - based band “General Wound” was directed. The first studio album was produced at the Ukrainian label “Black Art Production”. Over the time the band’s style changes – the sound becomes heavier and the vocal groovier. Guitarist Alexey Pasko joins the band in autumn 2009. Presently the structure of the band remains unchanged.
After this change of membership the band produces the EP “Clouded Mind”. The new material becomes more attractive for press and radios. Almost immediately after the EP production new video clip on “Dead Memory” song is directed. Spring 2010 the band participated in “Death Damage Fest” with such thrash-band Onslaught (UK). In autumn 2010, the band went on their first tour of Ukraine «War Against War Tour 2010", together with the Polish band Disquiet and Ukrainian band Wasted Heroes.
In December MORiA acts together on one stage with SEPTIC FLESH (GR) and HATE (Pl).
The visit card of the band includes heavy guitar sound, powerful rhythm section, a contrast between melody and aggression. Lyrics also hold an important part in band’s art. It embraces the problems of war and ecology, state of mind, sub consciousness, and philosophy. In January, a contract was signed with a Russian label MORE HATE PRODUCTIONS to publish and distribute their second album "Pain Shreds".
Release date is scheduled for May 2011.
La banda se formó con el bajista Egor Lomonos
y el guitarrista/vocalista Oleg Kolotusha en
invierno del 2005. Luego de un tiempo se unen
el guitarrista Dmitry Marchenko y el baterista
Jaroslav Docenko. Con esa formación la banda
toma parte en diferentes festivales y clubes.
En el 2007 el batero Vladimir Shapkun
substituye a Jaroslav Docenko y se mantiene
hasta ahora en la banda. Dos meses más tarde
Dmitry Marchenko deja la banda y los miembros
de MORIA deciden tocar como un trío.
En otoño del 2008 MORIA participó en el
“Death Damage Fest” con DEADLOCK
(Alemania).
Luego la banda toma parte en el ProRock
festival en 2008 junto a bandas como Rage,
Rasta, Devillish Impressions y otras bandas de
Ucrania.
Durante este periodo de tiempo el álbum debut
“PSY” fue grabado y el primer videoclip
con la participación de Lilith de la banda
GENERAL WOUND en la dirección. El primer
album de estudio fué producido en el sello
Ucraniano Black Art Production.
Con el tiempo el estilo de la banda cambia, el
sonido se hace más pesado y las vocales mas
“groove”. El guitarrista Alexey Pasko se
une a la banda el el otoño del 2009. Hasta
ahora la alineación de la banda permanece
invariable.
Luego de este cambio la banda produce el EP
“Clouded Mind”. El nuevo material resulta
mas atractico para la prensa y radios. Casi
inmediatamente luego del EP, un nuevo video
clip acerca de la cancion “Dead Memory” es
realizado.
En la primavera del 201 la banda particpa en
el Death Damage Fest con la banda ONSLAUGHT de
UK.
En otoño del mismo año la banda se embarca
en su primer Tour por Ucrania “War Against
War Tour 2010”, junto con la banda Polaca
DISQUIET y la banda Ucraniana WASTED HEROES.
En diciembre MORIA toca junto a SEPTIC FLESH
(Grecia) y HATE (Polonia).
El estilo de la banda incluye sonidos pesados
de guitarra, secciones ritmicas poderosas, un
contraste entre melodía y agresión. Las
liricas asimismo forman parte importante en el
arte de la banda. Tratando acerca de los
problemas de la guerra y ecología, estado de
la mente, subconciencia y filosofía.
En Enero, firman contrato con el sello Ruso
MORE HATE Productions para publicar y
distribuir su segundo album “Pain Shreds”
La fecha de lanzamiento se ha establecido para
Mayo del 2011.
