POINT
OF DEATH (Iran) ......Death Metal......
It all began in 2002, when the
alireza(lead guitar-vocal) founded the
"death switch" which we call it now
POINT OF DEATH as a progressive death/thrash
metal project in IRAN (Mashhad) that covered
tracks of great bands like creator,
Metallica,death and Slayer. After 1 or 2 month
he decided to perform his death switch, so he
call Amin(old alireza,s friend) to play bass and
Danial Kooshki to play rhythm guitar. In the
beginning, it was Alireza and amin who wrote and
composed the music. In that time they used drum
programming samples and they recorded ten tracks
after 2 years but they didn't like the drum
programming because they thought that didn't
sound professional!! And that is why they
contacted Shahrooz who worked with space rock
drum to join their band as a drummer to do their
underground live acts in MASHHAD twice a year.
Then Shahrooz decided to leave POINT OF DEATH
because he couldn't match himself with genre of
band, which is progcive death..thrash metal.
Ashkan also left the band for some personal
reasons, and then he left Iran and moved to
turkey. In 2004 the original members of band Ali
(lead/vocal) Amin (bass) and Danial (rhythm
guitar) recorded their 10 tracks album with a
lot of problems without defer. After they
recorded their first album, band wanted to good
death/thrash vocalist, and they look for someone
who wanted to form a death metal band in
Mashhad, and HAMED came to the band for test
just for 3 tracks and after it alireza didn,t
like his style & voice couse no one
understood when hamed sing! and hamed forced to
left band In that time the members were:
alireza(lead guitar-vocal)amin(bass)
danial(rythm guitar) but they didn't have their
favourite death/thrash drummer, so Amin who knew
how to play drums, started also to play drums
and he did it like a professional drummer. Then
the band decided to have him as the bands
drummer. Instead of Amin on bass, Ali joined the
band as a bass guitar player. In 2005, Danial
shoot down at the band .now The band worked hard
to record their new album which was a
combination of speedy riffs and harsh lyrics
namely: BREAK THE CROSS 8 month later after they
worked hard on their new album, Ali(bass) left
the band for his own personal reasons and made
POINT OF DEATH stop operating for 3 month. In
2006 POINT OF DEATH started their progress with
their new bassist Roozbeh and the band achieved
to their innate formation. the POINT OF DEATH
worked hard to attained their new album.so for
that new album band need the powerful vocalist
and pedram jonded to death switch for the album
we call it (roumer) They have recorded seven
tracks apply in their album.bud they didn,t like
ruzzbe and he left the band too.so behnud
joinded the band for a bass guitar today They
have performed an underground death metal
concert in Friday/16 december/2006 in Mashhad to
show the power of their band. In that live act,
the band played all their seven track's from the
album with three cover tracks from some great
metal bands like Sepultura,death, Metallica and
slayer Anyway, POINT OF DEATH was the first to
actually to pigeonhole those bands within a
style, and to establish themselves as kings of
the genre in Iran/ Mashhad.
