 
ABADDON INCARNATE was born as BEREAVED in 1991. While still playing Death Metal, it was more sedate in nature taking in topics relating more to magic and the occult. After looking for a permanent drummer for two years, in summer '93 that person was found in Olan Parkinson. BEREAVED started writing new material for the first time in almost two years.
By late '94 Alan Kelly, who had been with the band since the start decided to left shortly before they recorded the third demo "When The Demons Come". BEREAVED changed their name to ABADDON INCARNATE as the new music was distinctly faster, heavier and topically, heading in a new direction. It was for these reasons that "Demons" was not widely distributed.
In 1996 ABADDON recorded a two track sampler,"Nihilist" and "Temple Of Rancid Filth", to appear later on their debut album. Again, only a handful of these tapes was ever distributed but it was this sampler that eventually reached Season of Mist in France early '98. On the strength of this sampler ABADDON INCARNATE secured a two album deal with the label.
In October 1998 ABADDON travelled to Tico Tico studios in Finland and recorded their debut entitled "The Last Supper" influenced by early MORBID ANGEL, IMPALED NAZARENE and BRUTAL TRUTH. The album was set for an early '99 release but due to recurring problems did not see shop shelves until September '99. Rob Tierney left by this time, being replaced by Cory Sloan (THE FIFTH DOMINION and THY SINISTER BLOOM) in July 1999.
Early 2000 ABADDON decided to drop Seasons Of Mist as their label and take control of the recording of their second album "Nadir", recorded by Mieszko from NASUM, (EXHUMED, REGURGITATE, etc) in May 2001 at Soundlab studios in Sweden, to be released by Sentinel Records later that year.
In 2002, A.I. performed two mini tours with Welsh Death Metallers DESECRATION including the Czech Republic, England, Wales, Spain and France. Right after that, ABADODN INCARNATE, who already were in negotiations with newly formed XTREEM MUSIC (out of the ashed of REPULSE REC.), signed a two album deal with this label. Unfortunately Cory, (bassist and backing vocalist) decided to leave the band. At the end of year the band travelled to Switzerland to headline the CARNAGE METAL FESTIVAL, and in early 2003, the band did an 8-dates tour in Australia. In summer of the same year, Olan, their long-time drummer, decided to leave the band, resulting on the re-admisison of old bassman Cory in the band as well as Jason as the new drummer.
Recordings for the band's long awaited third album "Dark Crusade" took place, during December 2003, again at swedish Soundlab with Mieszko (NASUM) producing. The release date was set for March 2004 and will definitely show ABADDON INCARNATE at its best!!
ABADDON INCARNATE nació como BEREAVED en 1991. Aun siendo Death Metal, era más suave y metido en temas mágicos y de ocultismo. Tras buscar un batería por dos años, en el verano de 1993 esa persona fue encontrada en Olan Parkinson. BEREAVED COMENZÓ a escribir material por primera vez en dos años.
A finales del ‘94 Alan Kelly, que habñia estado en la banda desde el principio, decidió abandonarla poco después de la grabación de su tercera demo "When The Demons Come". BEREAVED cambió su nombre a ABADDON INCARNATE porque la nueva música era más rápida y pesada, y la temática de las letras iba en una nueva dirección. Fue por esto que "Demons" no se distribuyó ampliamente.
En 1996 ABADDON grabó una demo de dos temas, "Nihilist" and "Temple Of Rancid Filth", que luego aparecerían en su állbum debut. Otra vez, solo unas pocas copias de esta demo fueron distribuídas, pero una llegó a Season of Mist en Francia a principios del ‘98. Gracias a la fuerza de esta grabación, ABADDON INCARNATE se aseguraron un contrato con el sello por dos discos.
En Octubre de 1998 ABADDON viajaron a los estudios Tico Tico en Finlandia y grabaron su álbum debut titulado "The Last Supper" influenciado por los primeros MORBID ANGEL, IMPALED NAZARENE y BRUTAL TRUTH. A principios de 2000 ABADDON decide abandonar Seasons Of Mist y tomar el control de la grabación de su segundo álbum "Nadir", grabado por Mieszko de NASUM, (EXHUMED, REGURGITATE, etc) en Mayo de 2001 enlos Soundlab studios en Suecia, que sería editado por Sentinel Records ese mismo año.
En 2002, A.I. realizó dos mini giras con los Deathmetaleros Galeses DESECRATION incluyendo la República Checa, Inglaterra, Gales, España y Francia. Justo después, ABADDON INCARNATE, que ya estaban en negociaciones con la recién formada XTREEM MUSIC (salida de las cenizas de REPULSE REC.), firmaron un contrato por dos discos con esta discográfica. Desgraciadamente Cory, (bajista y coros) decidió abandonar la banda. A finales de año, la banda viajó a Suiza para encabezar el CARNAGE METAL FESTIVAL, y a principios de 2003 hizo un tour de ocho fechas por Australia. En verano de ese año, Olan, su batería de toda la vida, decidió dejar la banda, resultando la readmisión del viejo bajista Cory, así como al nuevo batería Jason.
Las grabaciones para el largamente esperado tercer trabajo de la banda "Dark Crusade" tuvo lugar, durante Diciembre de 2003, otra vez en los suecos Soundlab estudios con Mieszko (NASUM) como productor. La fecha de salida se fijó para Marzo de 2004, y mostrará definitivamente lo mejor de ABADDON INCARNATE!!
