„ARGHARUS are full of misanthropy, nihilism, sacrilegious morale drawing the picture of their nature. Music is the nature of life and form of resistance - mock, destroy, kill... They claim the derogation of life cult, denying the western morality code and unfolding the malign side of mankind.....“

ARGHARUS embryos can be found at the end of 2004, which evolved to the fully formed state at the beginning of 2005. First essential contributions to band history were the concert appearance in high-level festival Tvaikas III in the home town Siauliai, first recording in professional studio Phoenix (Riga, Latvia) and debut release split with Luctus „Sonitus Caeli Ardentis“. In spring of 2007, after the release of split album band played a line of concerts in Lithuania. At the end of the same year ARGHARUS signs with strenuous and serious label Inferna Profundus Records, the main point why band did this is that both band and label are located at the same town. 2008 was the year when the band played their first abroad gig at the Haard Rock Laager festival in Estonia, where they shared and warmed up stage for such famous black metal act as Watain.

This gig helped to gain more recognition for the band among foreign metalheads. Remaining time that year was left to finish the creative process of first full-length album of ARGHARUS , that is why band canceled all invitations to play shows in Lithuania and abroad. At the beginning of 2009 the band gets invitations to warm up the crowd for the controversial swedes Shining both in Lithuania and Latvia. There was a little calm time considering concert appearances after those two gigs with Shining, but the band didn‘t just sat idle with doing nothing, because the final touches for the first full-length were added, recording process started and some changes in the line up also occurred. A live/session bassist Demonas was added to the line up and 7 fully undivided his duties to vocals. All recording and mixing jobs for the debut full length were done at the local Unitedzeros Studio. At first the band was skeptical about local studio, but at the end of all works the final outcome was satisfying.

Some time passed from releasing of Luctus and ARGHARUS split album, the band turned almost the opposite way and listeners now can be astonished by the new music creation with different concept. Thus music, thus the main idea is marked difference from that what was done before, this can surprise current band fans or become a discovery for the new ones. In comparison with the new album, earlier creations look like youthful game surrounded with hardly reclaimable ideas. „Pleistas“ – the new way of the band and the obtained musical conception was not created, it was born naturally while discovering and creating in rehearsal studio. Nothing was flinched specially to destroy or run away from – it is a part of natural process through which all bands have to pass. ARGHARUS isn‘t an exception.

Inquired about major influences to the creative process and world-view band members reply: ARGHARUS doesn‘t follow any examples. We have our own perception about creating music and we don‘t follow steps of any band. We can‘t name any band which did or is doing remarkable influence to our music. Yes, there are some bands who form our general perception, but it‘s more a reference for the general context and not a major influence for the music. We seek innovative musical solutions, distinctive musical expressions. The influences comes from black metal as music style and movement.“
