DEFLESHUARY (USA) ......Brutal Death Metal......
Defleshuary was formed in the summer of 2004 as
a one man project by Rick. Started it as a small
project. He got to work very quickly to writing
songs that united both death metal and horror.
Influenced by such bands as Mortician, Exhumed,
old Carcass, Frightmare, Fuck...I'm Dead, Putrid
Pile, and countless others he had 7 songs
written.. The songs were ready to be recorded
for the first demo which is entitled
"Feasting On Torso." Getting pretty
good feedback for the demo and having been
offered a few shows, Rick sought out to form an
entire band so Defleshuary could play out. Tim
Ashley took over on drums and Kerm (who played
guitar in projects with Rick before) took over
on 2nd guitar. (The band went without a bassist
for some time.) This lineup played a bunch of
shows and got their name out even more. In
December 2005 the 2nd demo "You Could Wake
Up Dead Tomorrow" was recorded. Due to
money constraints it was done with programmed
drums like the first demo and done in a home
"studio." During the spring of 2006
the band entered Century Studios to record 6
songs for the demo ep "Mutilated And
Skinned Alive." It's their best effort to
date as well as the first release with live
drums. Shortly after recording Tim Ashley quit
the band. D. Biz, a good friend of the band, was
offered the spot and gladly took over the throne
to play drums. Chris of Homicide Watch Records
contacted the band informing them he was
starting up said label and would love to put out
the ep as his first release. Defleshuary happily
agreed. Shortly after this the band finally
found a bassist to come on board, John Linger.
The 4 went to work writing new music. In
December of 2006 the band re-entered Century
Studios, with Carson at the helm again. They
recorded the first 2 songs they wrote as this
lineup. These songs were to be used as bonus
tracks for the release of the ep. They decided
to name the 8 song album Zombie Plague, Rampant
Horror. It saw the light of day Feb. 18, 2007.
In December of 2007 the band once again entered
Century Studios to record with Carson for their
split with Torsofuck, Cumbeast, and Decrepit
Womb which will see a release through
Pathologically Explicit Recordings. It's easily
the band's best work to date. The band hopes to
continue progressing and writing fun and
enjoyable death metal while playing as many
shows as possible.
