The Mental Demise band was founededin May of
1995 by Alexander (Fester) Andreychev
(guitar/vocals). In 1997 the band released their
first rehearsal demo, entitled "Utopia Of
Existence". The second studio demo -
"Psycho-Penetration" – was recorded
in February of 1998. Material included 9 songs
in intense brutal death/grind, with conceptual
psychological lyrics. The demo was released in a
cassette format by Ukrainian label «Moon
records». Later “Psycho-Penetration" has
experienced four reissues. In March of 1998 the
band performed 25 shows in various cities of the
Eastern Ukraine in the support of
"Psycho-Penetration". In spring of
2000 Mental Demise head for "Vaginal
suckers" studio to record new 3-song
material - "Credo Quia Absurdum..?".
In 2001 «D.A.C. Productions» label released
"Credo Quia Absurdum..?" as a split-CD
with ukrainian band Entrails Putrefaction. In
November of 2001 this was followed by the
mini-tour in Buelorussia. In April of 2003
Mental Demise for the first time took part in a
foreign - Polish - tour "Grind De
Pologne-2", with the brutal Imperial
Foeticide (Cz) and grind band Epitome (Pl). In
spring of 2004 the band was on tour in
Belorussia, Russia and Ukraine as a support band
for death metal band Pungent Stench (Aus). In
the fall of 2004 Mеntal Demise had a very
successful 16-show gig «Grinding Incursion»
through Ukraine, Belorussia and Moldova with the
death/grind band Parricide (Pl). In 2005 the
band makes a self-record of the «Disgraceful
Sores», which was immediately released by two
labels: Belorussian «Moral Isanity» and
American «Sevared Records». The album receives
a good circulation in CIS as well as abroad. The
band receives a ton of propositions. In spring
of 2005 the band makes a 12-show tour in Poland
with Parricde (Pl) and Mincing Fury (Cz). In the
fall of 2005 the band is invited to take part in
several festivals, the most important of which
are the following: «Mirceles East» (Poland)
with headlining Pungent Stench (Aus), «Ludwigshafen
Death Fest» (Germany) with Necrophagist (Ger)
and «Slovac Death Fest» with Vital Remains
(USA) headlining respectively. -- In the fall of
2006 Mental Demise takes up a 13-show successful
tour with a new drummer in Ukraine. In the
spring of 2007 the band takes its way to Poland
to record a processed material in Hertz studio.
1-t of February 2009 a release of a new album by
Mental Demise under the working title «Final
Step To Future Madness» is expected. The style
of the band can be characterized nowadays as an
aggressive speedy Florida wave death metal.
