Foreshadow, a musical group that blends
the core genres of death metal, black metal, old school thrash metal,
and a minute level of metal core, to create their own, unique sound, has
begun to deliver a plethora of lyrical and melodic genius to the world;
foretelling the turn of this generations appreciation of raw music and
solid performances. Reigning from their infamous hometown of Tampa,
Florida, Foreshadow uses their vocal and instrumental influences to
comment heavily upon the lies that have enveloped as truth amongst the
general population; specifically regarding the limitations that humanity
has placed upon itself, under the surfaces of religion, politics, and
various means of propaganda. Influenced by such mainstream artists who
include Slayer, Metallica, Mudvayne, and Pantera, Foreshadow has already
begun the framework and lyrical landscaping for their debut, studio LP,
"Nations of Failure". Foreshadows music album spawns an
underlying homage to Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, and the bassist for
Primus Les Claypool; all of whom have served as inspiration for various
members of the band. Band members, Daniel (vocalist), Aaron Robinson
(guitarist), Richard Hudson (drummer), and Nathan (bassist), have been
united under Foreshadow umbrella since January of 2008. Individually and
collectively, alike, the band in extremely familiar to stage
performance. Having opened for international death metal band, Dying
Fetus, at The Brass Mug, as well as playing Fall Fest in Miami, Florida.
Ultimately, the group wishes to inform, motivate, and enlighten the mind
set of their fans and fellow listeners through collaboration of a cross
country tour, which shall promote the unyielding possibilities that
their debut album shall present to them as a band, and to individuals of
the world.
Although Vigour became more active as a
band since 2005, the story actually goes back in late 2000, when Nathir
(bass, vocals) and Heretic (guitars), after quitting their local band,
started a black metal project named "Hybrid Vigour". The first
songs were soon composed, but it was difficult to find members to join
them. Many participated in the project but none as a permanent member.
That was until 2005, when Deathmass (drums) and G. (guitars) joined
them. Unfortunately, at that time Heretic due to personal reasons had to
quit so Nathir took over the guitars.
In the summer of 2007 Vigour decided to record 8 songs intending to
release them as a full length album, with the co-operation of REKTOR as
the sound engineer. It was during the recordings that the band's name
changed to "Vigour".
In the summer of 2008 David (bass) joined the band as a permanent member
and Nathir took over the vocals. In late 2010 Jan replaced Deathmass
behind the drums and Kostas joined Vigour as the new lead guitarist. For
the time being the band is about to complete the prosedure of releasing
the debut album entitled "No Gods To Praise".
"The final damning darkness began in
2010 when the four aliases; A.H, Svetovid, Witch-Doctor and
Christmolestor joined forces, united by a shared need for extreme music.
The lineup was solidified from the start and a shared vision born of the
occult, philosophy, and blackened music soon bore fruit in the form of
the first, untitled demo. After a few live performances and some
fine-tuning to the sludgy sound the second outing, MIR, was given birth
in the summer of 2011.
That which is and that which is not are two inseparable halves of a
single cosmic whole. The darkness and the light are naught without the
other."
On spring 2008 Abyss started to look for
musicians for his new project which he’d been planning for a while.
Abyss knew bass player Ardath from his previous projects, so he asked if
he was interested of new musical challenges. Ardath joined immediately.
Abyss posted an ad to internet where he was looking for musicians for
Dark Metal band. Several applications came, but the most interesting of
them was a message from a singer – even Abyss wasn’t even looking
for one. He decided to meet the singer anyway and after few short
discussions, the new vocalist was Mojo. When Mojo realized what kind of
music they were talking about, he dragged Ripper along him. A Drummer
from his old band as he knew Ripper was the guy for the job. In fall
2009 the band started rehearsing and had little challenges ‘cause they
had no second guitarist. Fortunately they got Mr.Saw to play as a
session-guitarist. Abyss still wanted a keyboardist, so he could
concentrate just writing songs full-time. They found an ad from internet
where keyboardist with really interesting musical background, was
looking for a band. Abyss made contact with him and shortly Vulvus
joined the band. Soon also Abyss’ friend Lily Orlok joined the band as
full-time second guitarist. MMD was formed. On spring 2009 the band
entered D-Studio in Klaukkala, Finland to record the first proof of
their existence. This record is to be used as promotion purposes
worldwide. Vulvus left MMD December 2009. MMD has already found
replacement for him. Name of the new Synth player will be annouced later
2010.
"If you call the woods your
home, manmade schemes are of little interest. The wide spread
incompetence of the press to classify Tyrael's style of music is telling
evidence that this sound beast will never submit to the illusion that
man calls order...
After this force of nature, thrusting outwards the realms of Westerwald,
brought „Der Wald ist mein Zuhause“ [The woods are my home] to the
ears of humanity, it has constantly tried to infect it entirely. Albeit
the capacity to comprehend its voice being scarce, all around the globe
(Germany, Britain, Poland, Austria, Italy, Brazil, Mexiko, Japan,
Canada, Australia) there are likeminded who are able to.
No cheap effects, no welltrodden paths – only few know their way
around in the woods. In 2000, what hat been fostered by John and Joschka
was completed with Sven and Thomas and named Tyrael. Thomas found a path
out of the scrub in 2002 and was lost in the outer world, but Holger
replaced him in the very same year. In the years that followed, the
debut's tracks took roots in the minds of the band and burst rock.
John got lost in his inner world in 2006. During the long quest for a
worthy successor, Fabian was introduced to the guitar parts, so that
Joschka was able to concentrate on lending his shrieking and rumbling
voice to the band's sound. Eventually, in 2008, a young gun would lose
his way between the trees, which he forces to tremble since – Mario,
the new drummer. With him, Tyrael explores new horizons..."
Haterain were formed in August 2004 as
"Tornado" by Thanassis Plagkas!
In 2006 the band was in its complete line up for 1st time with THANASSIS
PLAGKAS (guitars, vocals), STELIOS STAYROPOULOS (drums), GIANNIS
ANAGNOSTOU (guitars) ALEX (bass guitar) and recorded their first demo
which is a live rehearsal!
After a year ALEX left the band and THANOS MOURKOUTAS (bass) joined!
Then the band went through a couple of gigs and entered the studio to
record their first full length album "FIRE AT WILL" which
contains 9 trucks of speed-thrash metal and total duration 33:85!
In 2009 the band continued on with some gigs and promoting their debut
album!
Until now, "FIRE AT WILL" has some good rates from the press
with the Greek METAL HAMMERs interview as a suggest of the month (March
2010), being the highlight!!
Currently, the band have changed their name to "Haterain",
working on some new stuff and performing with some new members with
Thanassis Plagkas only remaining from the old line up!!

2010:
The release of Counting the Body Toll with the new line-up. The
recording was made with mr Henri Virsell at his studio. DEAD
SAMARITAN also made their first appearance with the new line-up at
Varjobaari, Tampere, with their fellow band NATION DESPAIR. The
place is very small, but it was packed with people and it made the band
feel very happy and confident about their live presence. More gigs were
to follow during the year. The singer Valendis Suomalainen gave birth to
her daughter on October, but she will continue fully with the band
"business as usual". The band also participated on a metal
compilation called D.O.P. 3 with the track Laid to Waste.
2009:
Rehearsing and making new songs. New full line-up in December with the
following members: Valendis Suomalainen, Matti Viholainen,
Marko Saarinen, Eero Virtanen and Janne Honkanen.
Valendis also sings for HEREM and Matti and Eero have the band STANDARD
ISSUE DEATH.
2008:
Return from the hibernation that lasted for a couple of years. At first
it was just Marko and Janne warming up some of the old stuff, but soon
the plans started getting more serious, and the idea of a whole, fresh
new start came up.
2007:
On hiatus.
2006:
In the beginning of 2006 the bassist Marcus Moberg had left to
concentrate to his guitar duties in DEAD IN THE WATER (with Putte
on guitars and vocals) and the band only rehearsed like once. Since
Marko was quite drained out of energy, Eetu had some new furious song
ideas, but Marko had too much to do at work and getting his studies
finished, so the band just went on a hiatus.
2005:
The Bone Hill Revelation demo had so much positive attention, it
also caught the eye of many gig organizers. So the year was more or less
spent on doing gigs. Later that same year Jussi Leppänen
had to leave the band and the guitarist Eetu Tingander (now the
bassist/vocalist of NATION DESPAIR fame) was recruited. DEAD
SAMARITAN played their last gig before the hiatus in Hämeenlinna at
the Rocklinna Metal Fest with him.
2004:
Much more intense rehearsing and the result was the first demo Bone
Hill Revelation under the new band name. The positive reactions from
the media and the audience surprised the band, and it deserved them a
lot of good attention.
2003:
The band replaced Teemu with Jussi Leppänen on the second guitar
and soon they changed the name to DEAD SAMARITAN. New songs
seemed to be a lot tighter and more rehearsal time was spent.
2002:
More rehearsing was done and the second demo called Dark Matter
was recorded. It moved the level up a notch and deserved the band their
first gig ever. It was played in Lahti at Hell On Earth III with the
likes of FUNERIS NOCTURNUM, NOWEN and GLORIA MORTI.
2001:
On 4th of January guitarist Marko Saarinen discussed with drummer
Janne Honkanen at a metal festival in Hämeenlinna that they
should start a metal band. Since Marko had already played a lot in
different bands with vocalist Pasi "Putte" Lehtinen, he
wanted Putte to be their throat. Soon they found the bass player in one
certain Marcus Moberg (an alias for Markus Maltari). who
was also an old acquaintance and a friend from previous bands. Later
that summer the band recruited a second guitarist Teemu Raunio,
who is also known today as the Antinist of the band SIGHTLESS.
During the autumn the first demo called First Kill was recorded
under the now beculiar moniker THE BEAUTY OF DYING. Though the
band name may sound quite gothic, the music was death and thrash metal
from the very beginning.
Dimorph was found in 2003 by Evgenij
(Jeff). During the course of numerous line-up changes
the band released the well perceived demo "Slave of
Lies"(2006) and the EP "Obscurity" (2008)
and established their renown as a furious live act. With the intention
to create heavier,
darker and faster music Dimorph have recorded the promo-song "The
Suffering", displaying
the new, now definite cast of the group and is heading ever further into
the exploration
of their vision of furious death metal.
In 1996, at the time of
“canned beer high culture”, when the aesthetics of brachial music
still sounded from shredded tape decks and men were still men, rose a
metal band from the no-man's-land between Bonn and the Westerwald region
– ALCHERA.
Not patched together for the
short term, but grown and matured in the band’s very own style, the
addiction to speed, pressure and symphonic development connected the
band members right from the beginning. The resulting synergy is at the
heart of the band, thrashing life back into hung-over Metalheadz with
compositional precision and an explosive Molotov cocktail of sound for
over a decade now.
Alchera is its own archetype
of metal, a hybrid of the brutal twin vocals of the brothers
Prangenberg, the dynamic and driving wall of sound by the three
guitarists Schulz, Witzmann and Prangenberg as well as the thundering
rhythm foundation by Wendt and Pinkert.
The “beast from the
Westerwald” takes on ecstatic dimensions especially during live gigs
and provides the followers of the metal genre with a fundamental and
genuine music experience - unique in style and timeless as a work of art
– hand-welded.
FRAMFERD is a black/viking metal band
from Tonsberg, Norway. The Band was established in 2003, and have
since then produced 2 demos and 2 full length albums. The First
album "Djevelskap" was distributed through Dark Side of
Norway and Framferd in 2006 and the album received good reviews
from magazines and onlinezines. The new album "Landgang"
was recorded in 2009 and was released as the 1st. of November
2009, signed on Black Lotus Productions and is now in the process
of being released worldwide both digitall in physical format with
stunning artwork by Arve Engronningen. With the release of the new
album, Framferd would like to spread their music worldwide and the
band has already started to perform the new material live and is
always on the lookout for the new gigs in thefuture. Musically the
band keeps their strong roots with the Norwegian black/viking
scene, but also aspire to reach out to a bigger and more
international audience with their constantly evolving musical
vision.
MOURNED BY FLIES.
Originally formed in 2006, thrash/Melodic Death/Industrial Metal
band, Mourned By Flies came together as an almost spur of the
moment collaborative effort involving members of local Colorado
metal bands eROTic and Skinned. They have seen some changes within
the band’s lineup since their inception, most recently the
addition of Vocalist Parrish, and they continue to evolve as both
a group and as musicians. Rather than list individual bands that
they have taken inspiration from, with their music indicating a
seemingly never-ending assortment, the members of Mourned By Flies
simply credit all aspects of heavy metal, accompanied by
gut-wrenching life experiences.
This gives way to a modern metal sound that includes equal parts
of emotion and chaos. The ending result is a powerhouse of a band
with a sound that has to be heard to be believed. They offer
organic instrumentations infused with synthetic elements, which in
turn creates a unique and alluring sound. Entering the music scene
in 2006 with a bang in their first live showing, Mourned By Flies
served as support for the Finland-based 69 Eyes, a band that has
been featured on the MTV show Viva La Bam. Their first live show
was greeted with an amazing response from the crowd. They have
since opened for national acts such as Another Black Day, formerly
known as From The Ashes, who are played daily on Clear Channel
radio stations across the country. Being one of Colorado’s
hardest working and most determined local bands, Mourned By Flies
is currently nearing the release of their debut album Signs of
Life, and early responses to previews of the songs featured on the
album have been positive and very strong. With the validation of
the metal community, they
have aimed their sights higher and are looking to the next step:
signing with a small music label and gaining national distribution
to expose more people to their commanding sound. Mourned By Flies
continues to tirelessly perform live on a regular basis, and look
to keep expanding their fan base with new music, hard work, and a
relentless drive. And if what the band has accomplished thus far
is any indication for the future, the best and
brightest is yet to come.
Emerging from northern Colorado, arguably home to the state’s
largest dark metal scene, is Mourned By Flies, pummeling crowds
with their combative, yet tantalizing riffs, melodies and vocals.
Mourned By Flies consists of Erik Gristle (vocals), Greg Keenan
(guitars/synth/drum tracks), Parrish (vocals), Aimee Rodriguez
(bass) and Skar Huwig (drums). They carry with them a vast array
of musical experience, with an impressive resume of past bands to
their credit. The members’ collective list includes eROTic,
Skarmine, The Dacron Jesus Kult, Dismal, Famous Bacon, Dead High,
Deadless, Wretched Decrepancy, Acid Reign, Angus Scrimm, and
Dysorder. Skar Huwig also erved as the drummer on three EP’s for
The Mandrake, and (Signs of Life) vocalist Erik
Gristle and guitarist Jesse James McGarvey (J. James Left the band
April, 2008) continue to create new tracks for Pseudogod and
Minya, respectively.
BLEEDING
UTOPIA Started as a side project in 2003 by Andreas Moren (ex Dead Awaken, ex Astral Carneval).
Did some small recordings and a few live gigs..but in the summer of 2009 Andreas decided to take it further, to take it from a project to a 110% band.
He asked his old friend and drummer Lawrence Dinamarca (Loch Vostok,ex Astral Carneval ),
Henrik Wenngren (ex Vicious, ex Skyfire) and David Ahlén to join to band.
BU started to rehears as crazy and made song after song after song.
In the spring of 2010 Joakim Bergros joined as a second guitarist.
BU booked a couple of gigs and recorded a 4 song promo, you can listen to 4 songs on Myspace and Spotify.
